2A learners participated in many fun activities the week before Thanksgiving. In Guidance, the class worked with Mrs. Kiirkley to desig Thanksgiving place mats for the homeless shelter. We were able to get out into the garden to plant cover crops for the winter season. We made pumpkin pies in math and science. They were delicious! We had lots of fun performing Turkey Tom! In library, we enjoyed stations following check-out time. Mrs. Hunt was also our guest reader for the week. We loved hearing from our Star of the Week! Happy Thanksgiving!

Second grade held our Living Museum this past Wednesday. The cafeteria was filled with world leaders. Learners researched and reported on a leader of their choice. Then they dressed up as the leader to present the report. Thanks to fifth grade for helping us revise and edit our reports and thanks to parents and third grade for coming to the event. 5A came to help our class revise and edit our reports. Pinkerton celebrated Veterans Day with an assembly. It was great to see all of learners' family members who are veterans. Pinkerton scouts did an excellent job bringing in the flags! Friday Maker Space fun! We ended our Friday by hearing about our Star of the Week.
