Geometry Robots by S.P.
Our class made geometry robots. We made them out of paper. Geometry robots are robots that are made out of 2D shapes. We cut out the shapes. Then we glued them together. Then it turned into paper geometry robots. St. Patrick’s Day by A.M. St.Patrick’s was awesome. We went to the movies. I wore green all day. I got candy at the movies. We went to go see a wrinkle in time. Then once I got home I played basketball with my dad. It was fun playing basketball. Chicks by D.K. and C.L.
We used to have chicks in our class room. We also got to hold them. Also we learned their cycle. Our class was super excited, but 5 eggs did not hatch. When they hatched they were so cute. We had 10 chicks in total. They were crazy. Now they are at the farm. March Madness by J.K.

Open house is today. Open house is a time when our parents come to see our work. We work hard just for them. Mrs. Denton welcomes our parents into our class room. We are allowed to come too Open House. Chicks by N.B.
The chicks were cute when they hatched and they were so sweet. There were only three chicks that hatched first. Then later on another one hatched and it was yellow and it was cute. Then more chicks hatched and now they can be in a big box. We put food and water for them and we put marbles to make them not drown in the water because they are very small but not that small. We can have them for a while because we are waiting for the other chicks to hatch and there is five more to hatch. I think they are going to be so cute when they all hatch and they will be all around the box getting a lot of food and a lot of water. We can see them and are having to look at the chicks because we want to know how they are. We are happy that we have baby chicks in our grade. The other classes have their chicks and they think they are cute because they are doing the same thing like they are doing chicks too because it’s so fun. We will have them for a long time then we need to bring it back to the farm. It’s sad to know this but some of them are not going to hatch and break the egg out and maybe it can be a few days to make them all hatch. Some of them are trying to get out of the egg because they want to be free with the other chicks. They are in a hot place. It has to be 99 degrees hot. It’s a lot of hot. We shine light on them so we can see them and the thing on the top of it and sometimes Mrs. Denton makes us see the thing on the top of the box. If they all hatch we will be all happy but if they don’t, we may be very sad because we all love the chicks we have right now. We still have five more to make them all hatch and it is fun to have all of the chicks in the class room. We can only have them for a week and it is so fun to have chicks and have all of the chicks hatch. Mrs. Denton picked up a chick and it was so cute. We wanted to hold them. It will be great to pick up the chicks and we will have a happy day doing this fun thing. Chinese New Year Parade by S.A. and P.Y. A few weeks ago we had a Chinese New Year parade. Some kids that were in the parade were underneath a dragon and two lions. Some people were holding stick dragons and sack lions. The whole second grade was in the parade. The parade was long. At the beginning of the parade two kids were holding lanterns. We colored our stick dragons and sack lions. Our Chinese New Year Parade
On February 22nd, 2018 we had a Chinese New Year Parade. Some people were in the lion and dragon like in the real Chinese New Year Parade. We also had puppets for the parade. We had a dragon paper puppet and a lion paper puppet. |
